About LiDAR

Your Source for 3D analysis

LiDAR is a method for determining ranges by targeting an object or a surface with a laser and measuring the time for the reflected light to return to the receiver.
It can also be used to make digital 3-D representations of areas on the Earth's Surface and ocean bottom of the intertidal and near coastal zone by varying the wavelength of light.

It has terrestrial, and airborne applications. In surveying, geodesy, geomatics, archaeology, geography, geology, geomorphology, seismology, forestry, atmospheric physics, laser guidance, airborne laser swath mapping (ALSM), and laser altimetry.
It is also used in control and navigation for some autonomous cars,
and for the helicopter Ingenuity on its record-setting flights over the terrain of Mars.

About (GPR)

Ground Penetrating Radar
(GPR)

WHAT IS GPR - Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a non-destructive geophysical method of surveying in media such as soil, rock, fresh water and ice that uses radar pulses to image the subsurface. In short it enables “Views” in subsurface media

Why use GPR on a drone? - the accuracy greatly increases in certain conditions with a consistent velocity rather than the operation of a ground vehicle or persons.

Lower risk to personnel - Allows for non human involvement in dangerous or inaccessible locations. Limits Client liabilities and involvement of costly safety. operations

Higher Productivity - A Drone-mounted GPR system can perform the surveys a lot faster, more uniformly and accurately, and with a higher degree or automation by following a pre-planned mission

Access to challenging environments - a person or land vehicle might struggle or is purely unsafe to access in difficult to reach terrain. airborne vehicles can hover and are not limited by those opposing factors
